Rory Douglas Home
Rory is the founder and Director of Hekla Communications. He has fifteen years’ experience of working on the front line of international public affairs and corporate communications campaigns.
Rory believes in a research-led, coordinated approach to campaigning that leverages corporate communications, media relations and digital media resources to build coalitions of advocates.
Prior to founding Hekla communications in 2016, Rory held senior positions in the Brussels team of a global strategic communications agency. Previous to that he spent two years as head of communications at the Commonwealth Partnership for Technology Management, with responsibility for communications around high-level political summits in Malaysia, Zambia and Uganda.
Frans Green
Frans Green is a Director of Hekla Communications. He has over 20 years’ experience of EU advocacy and communications and has previously founded and run agencies including Aspect Consulting and Leidar Brussels.
Frans has advised some of the world’s best-known corporations, trade associations and not-for-profit organisations on engaging with and influencing politics and policy within the EU and internationally. He has also worked across a wide range of policy areas, issues and sectors such as healthcare, renewable energy, chemicals and materials, technology, extractives, biotechnology, food.
Sofia Kalogeraki
Senior advocacy consultant
Sofia is a seasoned advocacy professional, with about a decade of experience in public policy making, both in Brussels and Athens.
Sofia has organised and led various campaigns for business and trade associations, mainly in the energy, transport, and sustainable finance sectors, helping them to stay afoot of upcoming EU regulatory developments and produce favourable legislative results. Before joining Hekla, Sofia was the head of the EU Affairs department at one of the biggest fuel & petrochemical manufacturers in South-East Europe, with the mission to advise the sustainable transformation of the Group.
